Prof Montalbetti wanted to know how we say our name.
We introduced ourselves:
i. Name
ii. Program/classes
iii. What we like to do
iv. Personal history
v. Life defining moment

I liked listening to people reflect on their own lives. It felt like people were still trying to figure themselves out.

Raymon told us part of his story: his story is so much longer than any story of the students, and so I realised how much I might be able to see in my life.

Raymon made me realise that my fellow students are not just students. They are people I should treasure. People around me; they have their own story and we need to treasure them. Now I realise my sister has her own story, and it looks different to her than it does to me, no matter how close we are.

What I heard in class today, was only a shallow view into those people's lives. There's something beyond what I know about them that I'll never discover.

What do I want out of this class:
I want to discover more about me and about people. I want to move and be moved. I want to be a good actress. I'm studying to become a teacher, and a teacher needs to know how to act.

What do I expect from this class:
I expect to leave each class with a deeper interest in acting and stories. I expect to better understand this aspect of art which I am still struggling to understand completely. Ever since I enrolled in this class, I feel like I'm still at the beginning of this understanding. Now I know that acting is bigger than I thought it was.

People and their lives are precious. Their lives are precious to them, and now it is real to me.
